Tess Passey is the invaluable principal transcriber of raw tape for CecilFilm projects, carefully noting time code and B-roll descriptions of documentary footage. With an ever-growing interest in New Orleans culture and politics, she has dived into logging and transcribing with enthusiasm and diligence.

Passey has a BA in Geology from Earlham College, Indiana, and outside of CecilFilm, she is involved in technology projects and works as a lender liaison and financial aid counselor at Tulane University.
